Facebook

Facebook posts, comments and Page descriptions all accept plain Unicode text, so styled letters paste in and display normally — there's no special formatting system to fight against, unlike WhatsApp's asterisk syntax. Your personal profile name is a different case: Facebook's real-name policy and review process make it a poor place to use decorative styling.

Where this fits on Facebook

Posts and group posts
Facebook's post limit is generous (over 60,000 characters), with plenty of room for a styled heading or opening line.
Page name and about section
A business or community Page's about section and description fields render styled Unicode normally.
Comments
Comments accept Unicode too, useful for a styled reply that needs to stand out in a long thread.

How to use it

  1. Choose a tool below, or pick any style from the full library.
  2. Enter your text.
  3. Pick the style you want from the results.
  4. Copy it with one tap.
  5. Paste the result into a Facebook post, comment, group post or Page description.

Tips for Facebook

  • Save decorative styling for posts, comments and Page descriptions — Facebook's real-name policy makes your personal profile name the wrong place for it.
  • Only the first couple of lines show before "See more" on both desktop and mobile feeds, so put a styled heading at the very top rather than partway down a long post.
  • A Page's about section is a reasonable place for one styled line (a tagline), not the whole description.

Compatibility

Facebook's post, comment and Page-description fields render any Unicode character, so the same compatibility considerations apply as elsewhere: plain letter-substitution styles are broadly reliable, while combining-mark-heavy styles carry more risk of rendering oddly for some readers.
